We got takeout this time. Went with the pounder three meat and small beef. Everything was good but the pork. Will def try again. When you do takeout, you have to do it online. They don't take phone orders.

The food was amazing! I got the 2 meats combo with teriyaki steak and teriyaki chicken. It came with 2 scoops of rice and a macaroni salad. I also tried the pulled pork and it was one of the best I've ever had!!!

So after visiting the newest Hawaiian bbq place on nine mile I was told by several people that we were going to get our socks blown off here. So we gave it a try. Prices are pretty good for the portions and there are plenty of sides to choose from. food appears to be pretty close to cook to order we received our food pretty quickly. Wasn't overwhelmingly hot but good temperature. We both had the mixed veggies which were pretty good. The choices of brown rice and white rice were appreciated. The teriyaki chicken had a little more char on it for my preference. I understand that's how it's cooked but it was a little too much. The pork was very very good. Inside is nice and clean music was pretty loud and the place was not super crowded when we went. Would I go back? I mean maybe if we order it for lunch at work and I did not bring food. If it's close to you and you have no other options it's good.

Oh my goodness! This place is freaking off the hook! I haven't had food as good as this since I last visited Maui. The Kalua Pig is delicious. They offer white or brown rice as an accompaniment and a side of your choice, which had options like Mac salad and cabbage. I also tried their spam musubi, which was absolutely delectable. Lastly, we tried the royal Hawaiian cookies that they make right there on site. Talk about something to write home about... macadamia, coconut, and chocolate chips mixed and baked together to create culinary bliss! Moving on to service. This is kind of a casual dining establishment. You order at the counter and then get your food. The staff and management are all very personable, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu offerings. It was a real pleasure to interact with everyone there. The decor and island vibe are spot on. Pounders has achieved the goal of serving excellent food in a most desirable environment by thoughtful, hard working, caring individuals. We will undoubtedly return; and it'll probably be very soon!

We have been wanting to go to Pounders for awhile now and finally got to go today. So glad we stopped in. Cute and clean inside. You order at the counter and take a seat. All the staff were extremely friendly and there when you need them. My husband got the large plate with 3 meats- teriyaki steak, teriyaki chicken and garlic chicken. I had the regular with steak and chicken and the kids had smalls one with steak and one with chicken. All the food was prepared perfectly. Every meat had a great crust and flavor. The rice was perfect and the sauce they use is delicious. My family also enjoyed the macaroni salad. We ended our meal with a chocolate chip cookie and it was also yummy! We will for sure be back.

We're Kama'aina from Hawaii and now residing in Pensacola. When we arrived here we looked for Hawaiian plate lunch and found none. Until we heard about Pounders in Crestview and Niceville. Fast forward a year later and reached out to the owner. He informed me he was looking to expand to Pensacola and he secured a location. That news was like heaven sent to us. On our first trip to the restaurant was on a weekday. We were there promptly at 11AM and there was already a huge line of customers. They all looked hungry. So the food. We were absolutely blown away. Garlic and Teri chicken was juicy and so tender. Kalua pig was moist and perfectly pulled. Mac salad and rice was the best accompaniment to the meal. The employees were on-point taking our orders. After we sat down to eat the staff was making sure everything was good. Mahalo, Kakela for bringing a taste of Hawaii to the Emerald Coast.

MY FAV RESTAURANT OF ALL TIME !! I'm so glad I found this place while visiting FL. I went back this second time to try the items I missed the first time and dayuummm it's ALL good!! I got the same thing as last time, chicken, steak and pulled pork which was on point both times !! This time I tried the Spam Masubi and macaroni salad as well.. The spam masubi was awesome! I love how it came like a meat sushi wrapped in seaweed and plenty of rice. It was grilled and seasoned to perfection! Macaroni salad strangely tasted like pizza to me! Lol ! It was very good! Delicious even! This place os so good I'm lookin into franchise fees :D
